Vancouver Co-operative Radio, CFRO, 102.7FM is a non-commercial, co-operatively-owned, listener-supported, community radio station. Located in the heart of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside, Co-op Radio is a voice for the voiceless that strives to provide a space for under-represented and marginalized communities. CiTR 101.9 FM is the broadcasting voice of the University of British Columbia. Reaching over two million listeners, our signal reverberates from Point Grey east to Langley, north to Squamish and south to our neighbours in Bellingham, Washington. Run by volunteers from the campus and local community, CiTR attempts to provide a listening experience unlike that found elsewhere on the dial. A vast variety of music, news, spoken word and arts, and sports programming can be heard each day.

The CKUA Radio Network was founded in 1927 on the University of Alberta campus in Edmonton. CKUA is Canada's first educational broadcaster and Canada's first public broadcaster.
Since its inception, CKUA has grown from a one room, low wattage radio station staffed by exceptionally dedicated amateur radio enthusiasts, into a full fledged radio and Internet broadcast network staffed by world class broadcast and business professionals.
CKUA has evolved from a government of Alberta operation to a public not-for-profit foundation, with a limited commercial license. CKUA currently enjoys over 160,000 weekly listeners and is financially supported by listener donations, program sponsorships, subscriptions, and through corporate partnership.

Hober is an attempt to bring human warmth to the computer environment. Let's face it, there are most likely a lot of artificial creations in the vicinity of your computers right now. The last thing you need is artificial music. Hober brings unvarnished sounds into a glossy space.
Hober doesn't demand much attention and is meant to be used while you do other things with your computer. Go ahead and bury Hober under 20 layers of windows until you're curious about the music that's playing sometime. Or sit and stare at it. The changing titles and messages are there to keep you from feeling too silly whilst simply watching the player play
